Jonathan C. Whyte
Jonathan C. Whyte is a co-founder and managing partner of Whyte & Whyte, LLP.
After being honorably discharged from the United States Navy, Jonathan Whyte completed his undergraduate education at the University at Buffalo, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and Political Science. He subsequently attended the University at Buffalo School of Law and graduated in June 2025 with a Juris Doctor. Jonathan was admitted to practice law in New York State in January 2026.
A former deputy sheriff for Erie County, NY, Jonathan is uniquely familiar with the challenges that individuals face when they enter the criminal justice system and the need for a zealous and dedicated advocate by their side. He believes that everyone is entitled to fair and respectful representation and an attorney who tirelessly advocates for them in the legal system.
Steven J. Whyte
Steven J. Whyte is a co-founder and managing partner of Whyte & Whyte, LLP.
A graduate of Canisius High School, Steven completed his undergraduate education at the University at Buffalo, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and a minor in Political Science. He subsequently attended the University at Buffalo School of Law and graduated cum laude in June 2025 with a Juris Doctor. Steven was admitted to practice law in New York State in January 2026.
Prior to entering the legal field, Steven worked as an HVAC-R Technician and briefly studied to become a funeral director. He works comfortably under stress and is familiar with navigating emotionally complex situations. Proud to serve the Buffalo community, he is passionate about practicing law and feels privileged to be able to represent his neighbors in need.
